Kindness

LI. To write a abstract noun senses poem

This week for writing we wrote abstract noun poems in pairs. An abstract noun is something that exists but cannot be touched. Our abstract noun poem was about happiness. An abstract noun includes the 5 senses (Touch/ feel, taste, hear, see and smell), punctuation ( Capital letters, .), complex sentences, metaphors and similes After we finished writing our poems we used the DRAFT (Delete, Rearrange, Add, Fix, Talk)  process to check our poem, with draft we can make correct errors in our writing

Writing

We wrote a persuasive speech about a topic. My topic is why people should stop littering.

First I introduced myself and introduce my topic.

Next I said my POV witch means point of view and why I believe my argument. I also said my reasons.

After that we said our facts to help back up our topic. We also said our solution and our summary.

I enjoy writing my speech and saying my speech.

Brainstorming

For writing we had to brainstorm ideas to make a persuasive speech.

Brainstorming is thinking about multiple ideas. Leon and I wrote down reasons on why a person wanted a statue to be taken down. One of the reasons why is because it would be a waste of time and money.

Next we wrote down 3 topics. School, home and community. We had to write 3 reasons about those topics. One of the topic I chose was to. Not litter around your school. because you can kill animals and you it can make you school look ugly.

LI. To brainstorm possible topics.

Writing

LI. To Rewrite a narrative.

Rewriting is where change a part of the story using your idea.

To rewrite a part of the story pick what charter your changing. Where they live and what they eat.
We were rewriting the story The Gruffalo.

The first change was a fox to a wolf. The second change is the wolf living in the underground house. The last change was the gruffalo's favourite food is wolf waffles.

Writing

A setting description is what something smells like, feels like, looks like and what is sounds like.

To describe what it feels like use adjectives like wood, cosy and unsteady.

To describe what it looks like use adjectives to describe it like organised, Small and dusty.

To describe what it smells like use these adjectives to describe it pine and grass.

To describe what it sounds like use these adjectives birds chirping and crickets.

The four senses can help the reader build a picture and in depth understanding of the setting better.

Writing

A synonym is another word similar in meaning to what your word is. We have been talking about verbs, adverbs adjectives and nouns. A verb is a doing word. adverb describes how something happened. A adjective is describing words. A noun is a name of something.

We had to find synonyms for this google sheet that had verbs, adverbs adjectives and nouns words.
We had to make a poster about the word we choose. We also had to search some synonyms that relate to the word. The word that I choose was happy.
