Reading
We read a story called the legend of rahi we also had to inference the story.
In the story was rahi and the patupaiarehe. patupaiarehe stole Rahi's wife. We have been talking about facts and opinion. A fact something that is happened or known about and opinion is what you think e.g like something is cool.

Writing
A synonym is another word similar in meaning to what your word is. We have been talking about verbs,adverbs adjectives and nouns. A verb is a doing word. adverb describes how something happened. A adjective is describing words. A noun is a name of something.
We had to find synonyms for this google sheet that had verbs,adverbs adjectives and nouns words.
We had to make a poster about the word we choose. We also had to search some synonyms that relate to the word. The word that I choose was happy.

Swimming Session 1
For swimming we learnt four new skills at the pools. Our teacher's name was James.
The first skill I learnt was streamline kicking. I held my arm straight up in the air then as I was swimming I was kicking as I was swimming I had to lean to the side so I could breath.
The second skill is submersion. That is when I used arm stroking three times then I used the same strategy leaning to the side so I could breath.
The third skill we learn was called Butterfly kick it when I had to keep my feet together. When I dive I had to flap my feet and legs like I was a dolphin.
The last skill we learnt was frog kick. That is when my legs are coming in like I am tucking in then spread my legs out then bring them back in together so I can make a splash.
I enjoyed learning these skills Because one day it could help.

Maths
Multiplication Is a faster way of counting the same number.
Example 5+5+5+5+5+5+5 witch = 35. Multiplication way is 5 x 7 = 35.

Tangrams
Today I Learned how to make tangrams. I rearranged the pieces to make animal shapes.
First I made a square piece of paper because tangrams are from a big square.
Then I folded the square into various shapes and cut them.
Lastly I tried to make a different animal shape from the tangrams pieces.
Making tangrams was hard but at the same time it was fun. Because we got to make animals at the end.

The legend Rahi
LI. To retell the text using visualising strategy to sequence the event
This week we were visualising a book called The legend of rahi.
We had to draw six images in six boxes about the story. In each boxes was an image.
Each image talk about different parts of the story.
The strategy of Visualising is good because if you are struggling you can just visualize the story. Visualising is imagine the image while someone is reading to you.
The thing that was hard for me was to remember some parts of the story.
Multiplication
